These are some general rules that apply to most message boards. You are required to obey these rules as a condition of use.

The idea of these forums is for everyone to have fun.

Spam: *sigh* Like we all don't get enough of this in our in-boxes. We certainly don't need it on these message boards. Spamming is either posting multiple times about the same thing or starting multiple topics about the same thing. There are other actions that are considered spamming such as constantly posting off-topic as well as providing links that have nothing to do with the forum at hand.

Spam will be deleted without warning.

Starting an argument: There is no need for this.
If you disagree with someones opinion then you should debate them calmly.
Threads that are created for the sole purpose of inciting arguments will be deleted.

Stay on-topic: There is some leniency on this, we all drift occasionally.
Please try to stay on topic.
If you think it's a good enough topic, start a new thread about it.
This also prevents losing a good idea in a thread about another topic.

Use the Off-Topic forum if you want to talk about something not related to Zone.

Conversations: Conversations are for the telephone, IRC, etc., not for this message board.
Use the Off-Topic forum if you must, but remember if it is to excessive then it may be removed.

Be considerate: Do not make needless, excessive usage of things that are hard to read:

- Heaps of Emoticons
- ALL CAPS or AlTeRnATe CaPs
- Giant fonts or strange colors
- Nested quotes

Another note on quoting, please don't quote all of a huge post.

Trim the quote to only include that which you are specifically referring to.

Don't start topics like:

- "My 100th post"
- "Who has the highest post count" Who cares? Look it up on the member list.

- "Can I be a mod?" If you have to ask then the answer is always NO.

This is considered spam and is naturally off-topic.

Avatars: You can upload your own. Must be 100x100 and < 6kb.

Bumping: Don't bump posts, if your post is interesting then it will be replied to. Else live and learn.

Double Posting: Don't double post. The most common cause of this is clicking the submit button twice, be patient it doesn't take that long. You can use the "edit" function to add to a post once you have submitted it.

Post Titles: Title your posts properly.
When you post a new thread, please state the nature of your post in your title so that people will have a general idea of what your post is about before they click on it.

While this may seem rather obvious, We all hate stuff like "Oh my gosh you guys have to see this!" or something similarly uninformative that leaves the reader completely in the dark as to the nature of the post.

Swearing: Not Tolerated - Please do not Swear.

Absolute Power: I (and my legion of mods) reserve the right to edit, delete, or ban for our own reasons - without warning !

If you wish to appeal a decision then either email me or private message me. Do not throw a tantrum in the forums. I am always happy to discuss board related issues with anyone. If you have a problem let me know.

Obscene Material: This board is attached to a Family Entertainment Center. As such please refrain from posting anything classified as obscene. Including, but not limited to pictures, avatars and language. Anything obscene will be removed without warning.
